I know this is a late reply but in case you’re still looking… our tractor supply carries organic layer pellets and crumbles from brands like purina and dumor. They are about $30 for a 40-50 lb bag. We have our chicks on the dumor organic chick starter. Right now I have my laying hens on the purina layer organic pellets while I look for something better. We had them on New Country Organics for years but I’ve noticed that I have a few hens that pick out only some of the things and leave the rest and they weren’t looking great and I think they weren’t getting enough of some things so I switched them while I figure out what I want to do long term. I hope that helps! There are definitely more organic options out there than scratch and peck (they’re so expensive!). New Country Organics is only sold at a local, small feed store around me. But you can ask a local feed place to order it for you
mine did! That bag is more pricey but still way better than $90 for 50 lbs. I think towards the end I was paying about $34-$36 for a 30 lb bag. We have always had our girls on organic feed, simply because we homestead and eat organically ourselves and we will be eating their eggs
