Best frien offered chicks from up-coming hatch

My best friend called & told me one of her hens was setting, that I could have some biddies, once they're hatched & ready to go.She's the one that got me started last June with my first run of 6 hatchlings. My hen will be 1YO in June. Hubby is off & on towards MORE chickens, he's worried our hen & roo might kill new babes introduced into their territory. Well, we've got close to a month, we'll play it as it comes. just wanted some opinions from you experienced, wise feathered friends!

They should not be put with adults till they are closer in size, probably at minimum, about 14 weeks old. Hens will kill chicks that are not their own (and sometimes, will kill their own when they're tired of motherhood).
