Best friends

I believe these two are roosters. They both were hatched together. They grew up, sleep, eat, and fallow each other. I also have 3 chickens that I hatched. The 3 chickens are about 5 weeks old and the two roosters would chase it and peck at it until they run away. At night I separate the roosters and the 3 chickens at night. The black rooster recently started to crow so my mom butchered it because we live in the suburbs. Do you guys know if the white rooster will mourn about its friend? Will the white rooster get along with the 3 younger chickens since he has no one else?

Chickens do from bonds, but they usually seem to get over losing a friend relatively quickly. How is the white one doing now?
