I am a recent owner of 2 Banded Plymouth Rock hens. I let them run around my yard. They do not like the wild grasses that are growing (crab grass, nute sege, zoysia, etc). I would like to know the best grass to provide (that they will eat).
Also, I would like to confirm what benefits come from grass fed birds. I have heard grass fed birds lay eggs with more of the omega fatty acids.
I would appreciate any info on the benefits from birds eating purslane, a commom yard weed.
