Best Heritage Breed for Meat Flavor/Quality

Once the feathers are removed they all taste the same pretty much. I think the main difference is breeds with more white have cleaner looking carcasses than those with dark feathers when plucked, otherwise pick what appeals to you.

Hello what do you think is the best heritage turkey breed for flavor and quality of its meat?
@rjohns39 believes that Red Bronze turkeys are the best eating.

There are a number of different ways to create a Red Bronze such as mating a Bronze with a Bourbon Red or mating a Bourbon Red tom with a Royal Palm hen, etc. Red Bronze will not breed true because they have heterozygous color genes, but mating Red Bronze to each other can produce 50% Red Bronze offspring.

I believe that based upon a friends taste tests. So far I've had my blacks, RP, nari, BR, and my RBs... The latter were the most taste. Although, Next year I'll finish them for a month with a high carb diet so I get more than a table spoon of fat.

Turkeys fat is great for cooking.

I read that the Bourbon Reds won some kind of heritage turkey taste test. Wish I could remember where I saw that article.
