Best identification system for possible show birds

They are just a thick spiral band, so to speak. You spread it open with your fingers and put it around the birds leg and release it slowly and it returns to the round band shape.

Does anyone know where to get toe punches? I want to also toe punch my birds as chicks.

I use colored zip ties, and ABA bands for our birds. Colored zips for different hatches & gradings.

if you dont mind me asking do you need a leg band to show a feathered legged breed?

Yes you do. Sometimes people who show feather legged breeds wait and put on the leg bands just before a show, so it doesn't ruin the feathers. This is another place wing bands may come into play. I never had a problem with leg bands harming the feathers on my Faverolles though.
