Just wondering, how old are you, 18 12 15 13?

you really shouldn't be asking how old this person is not a safe thing, plus if you live in mom & dads house you go by their rules and it doesn't matter how old you are

I recommend the hovabator purchased off the GQF web site,

why off GQF website? ebay would certainly offer lower prices. silverphoenix - if you order off ebay, make sure the option to return it in 7 days comes with an item purchased. but maybe Buck Creek Chickens has a point considering a warranty, tech. assistance, etc.

Merry Xmas!

the GQF web site has a special, 'bator, turner (2 racks), free shipping and eggs. plus off ebay are you sure that someone is not sending you a second, a used one and what if its not packed right as is damaged in shipping, then what??

Also if you buy it from a creditable company there is a warranty. You could get your money back or get it replaced. Good luck if you buy one off of e-bay because I believe the warranties would be void, unless otherwise stated in the description. Which I would make sure I get that in black and white before I buy.

Just go on the safe side and purchase a new one. $80 isn't a lot of money but it sucks to lose any money.

Yeah, I'm actually twenty-one but still live with my parents for a variety of reasons. My mom is fine with my flock but doesn't like when its size increases too much. We have over fifty pets so it's always a matter of not ending up with too many animals to care for.

And thanks for all the advice everyone! I think I'm going to go with a Hovabator Genesis 1588, which has gotten a lot of great reviews.

I did all the reading here and on other sites and that is where I landed as well. The Hovabator Genesis 1588 with turner. I even priced them out before asking the in-laws for one for Christmas. Last month the cheepest one i found was $162 online at cutler supply. Have only taken it out of the box for dreaming. Must wait until spring to hatch here in the cold:ya I can not wait to start!!!

Good luck to you!
