Best incubator for beginner - all in 1 type - 150 or less?

Because of reviews I am sort of leaning toward the Hovabator 1602 or 1588. What do you think? What is the difference in these?

I believe neither has an auto turner. If I read correctly. That's why I mentioned the Incuview, I think it's the best complete package for a beginner.

I just got the same bator as Spartan and LOVE it. Honestly, it is worth the money. I don't have to bother with it at all, I just check the water level and temp every now and then and make sure the room my bators are in don't get cold at night.

I don't have any experience with any other incubators other than some cheapo ones I bought off ebay. I bought 2. One is a complete dud. The other works, but takes a LOT of babysitting. Steer clear of any that look like this. They aren't worth the trouble.

With me just starting this I didnt want to sink a ton of money until I see how this goes. The Hovabator 1602 and 1588 are about 138 and 168 with auto turners.

So that's the same as the Incuview basically. I sure like that clear lid! And it's not Styrofoam, so can be cleaned.

I have 2 of the one pictured and like them. I do keep an additional thermometer inside just in case. I don't like the way the motor connects to the turner and the turner seems a little flimsy but it works weii enough and the cost was abought $70. When they wear out I intend to look at others. Keep in mind I'm 70 years old and made my first one years ago.

I have a hovabator 1602 and ran it for 3 months straight last year without a problem. I have a fan and upright turner in mine.

This year I haven’t been able to keep temp at the right number without crazy fluxes. It may start at 100 then drop to 95 and go as high as 104.5

No the eggs lay vertically so that might be an issue for you. I'll be doing some shipped eggs too, seems from what I read starting them upright for a few days can help so that's my plan. Then lay down. I had Styrofoam years ago and missed a dark brown one that went bad. Ka-pow, phewwww never got the smell out. It was archaic though, no turner, no fan.

Current info in the thread I linked are good. They made some improvements since the thread began. Mines really steady.
