I am looking at the Hova-Bator Incubator Package in the Randall Burkey Catalog. It says it is the most popular incubator (#2362) with the most poplular egg turner (#1611) and it also includes the a turbo fan.. It cost $129.00.

I want to hatch a couple of Ameraucana eggs if i can get some sent to me. Is this a good (no touch) incubator to buy? I dont have the first clue on how a incubator works so i wanted to buy one that i just put the eggs in and all i have to do is keep looking through the little windows for the little suprises to hatch.

I have the Hova Bator still air with the fan installed making it the same one as your looking at. Then I have a LG with the fan installed and a Hova Bator 1588 Genesis. All 3 are running at this moment.
ALL incubators need some attention None are plug and play so to speak.
Hova Bator with forced fan..pretty easy to live with.Gets to heat quickly and recovers quickly.Does a reasonably good job with humidity.Small windows but a good bator
LG-NOT good if you have kids or your bator is someplace real safe.My son wanted to help and put water in the vent hole(had seen me do it) but his got on the heatling element and fried it.Minimal heating adjustments needed and holds humidity as well as my Hova Bator
An OK bator that I won't buy again because of the Genesis
The Genesis-SPEND the money if you want as close to plug and play as it gets.

this one is so easy to use..plug it in and it's up to temp in no time holds humidity very well and the huge window is fun to watch the chicks hatch.100% hatch-from those that made it to day 18 will be complete today all alive

The turners LG and Hova Bator all work better than I do...they turn on a schedule that I can't.I have both and which ever is cheaper works here imo.
