Looking for my first egg incubator to hatch quail eggs. I am willing to pay more if I will have a good survival rate. It will be my first time incubating eggs (quail eggs) and I don’t want anything too hard to use. I also am not at home all the time, so maybe one with an egg turner. Thanks!

The NR360 is great! I used it with my class, and had to leave it over the weekend, so I needed something that would take care of itself! You can also purchase a quail egg turner piece on Etsy since the turner it comes with fits chicken eggs, but I think some people have put two quail eggs in each holder to get them to turn. There’s a whole 300 page thread on it in the incubation/hacthing sticky area if you want to read about people’s experience with it!

I found this on Kijiji for a really good price: Borotto Lumina 8 Eggs Incubator. It is Italian made and is supposed to be really good. Does anybody have any thoughts on this one?

I used the magicfly auto egg incubator and it worked pretty well I bought 10 silkie chicken eggs all ten could fit well with a little adjusting.
7 of the eggs hatch and when really healthy and all hatched in a matter of a few hours (the longest being around 5 hour) from the time that they pipped.

The only down sides would be the visibility and that there is no hydrometer built-in. The temp in measured in Celsius, though but you can look up what the conversion is, I think it’s like 37.5 but definitely buy a hydrometer or two.

overall I really enjoy this incubator it’s the only one I’ve used but I really like it.

I hope you have a high hatch rate and happy hatching 🐣
