Seeing some of her feathers seem laced could she have some golden laced wyandotte thrown in ther . Myabe sex link crossed with wyandotte . the wyandotte would give her the good size an laceing and the sex link would give her the comb anb and sex link color ??

She does look a lot like Squiddy.....but with even more red. The coloring is right though. I wonder where they got her. I'd like to get more just like her.

I'll see if I can get another photo in day or two so you can see just how far the red feathers extends.

I was thinking gold laced wyandotte too, My three started laying the first week of January and have each given us a beautiful brown, (some slightly speckled) egg EVERY day since they started. Lovely!

This chicken does not resemble any of my BSL....I could only wish, as she is very beautiful!!! She almost looks like a mix between a Partridge Rock and a NHR! My BSL do not have that big comb, nor any brown markings at all. And just a scattering of red feathers around the head, but not that full red head.

Over here in the Uk we have then called Black Rocks froma special breeder.

I have 4 and 3 are mainly black but sarah looks just like yours, she is more red, and actually dark grey more than black and they are amazing layers.

I have 4 eggs most days.

Black Copper? On the SS forum, tfpets posted a pic of a rooster and hen that resemble this bird exactly! Called them Black Copper ? whatevers....sure are pretty birds!

Doesn't look anything like my BSL. Mine is ALL black with just a tinge of red on the breast.

I'm thinking she is something else... BSL X RIR???
