Best layers of white eggs, no white birds though

Minorca's are flighty as most of the Med. birds are..I do have to add the white leghorn is the ONLY one here that has never been taken by a predator while free ranging every other color and every other breed we have here has fallen victim but the white legs always come home no matter how far they travel during the day..into coon opossum coyote dog and bob cat territory. They are very quick to react to danger.
We had Andy's but they don't lay nearly as large as the legs and Minorca's .Be careful in the statement a breed won't go broody...we have a broody white leghorn here

I got five Buff Minorca freebies from McMurray and they were VERY flighty compared to my dual-purpose breeds. They were awesome summer layers of big white eggs though and good winter layers. Never went broody.

Breeds I would recommend for high production of big white eggs are...
Buff Minorca
Black Minorca
Ancona

Hamburgs are also excellent layers of medium-size eggs.

Minorcas are better for hotter climates, and Anconas and Hamburgs are better for colder climates.

Thanks! (Also thanks HBuehler.) I would LOVE Minorcas I think.

That is a beautiful girl, twister!
