We are thinking of hatching eggs and would welcome feedback from you seasoned pros. We are thinking of a table top unit with a turner and a capacity of 12+ chicken eggs?

Advice? Ideas? Suggestions? Cautions?

I have the Brinsea Eco 20--holds 24 eggs. I believe they make an incubator that holds 10 eggs. Super easy to use--holds very steady temps., easy to regulate humidity, auto-turn cradle available, and easy to clean. Check out the website for Brinsea.

The lowest I've heard the most good about is the brinsea eco octagon, its on special with brinsea for $99 the turner is an additional $50.
Its a plastic unit, not styrofoam and Brinsea is a great company.

I have the king suro 20 with is very similar to the the step up brinsea digital octagon, costs around $250 -$270 If you are looking for digital these are great, and come with a humidity pump included so its a less costly (but not less nice) alternative to the brinsea octagon advance ex.

Cutler Supply has the Genesis 1588 with turner for about $155. There are definitely cheaper ones out there, but I HIGHLY recommend one with a preset thermostat. Good luck!

I got a 1206n hova bator and I love it. I have hatched many chicks in it and am now currently incubating emu eggs. I got the incubator and the turner for about $100

I gotta second this opinion, I love my 1588, and have had wonderful success rates, with many 100% hatches.

The Brinsea Octagon is a really nice incubator. I use the manual turn model. It keeps a very reliable temperature. The 1588 is a nice one too, you wouldn't go wrong there either.
