I buy large bags dried mealworms at Tractor Supply. My ducks love them. When I have had to buy the fly fiesta with 3 sorts of dried worms, they were not keen on the dried soldier fly larvae which was curious as they liked live soldier fly larvae when I had them growing in my compost

Soldier fly larvae are not cheaper than meal worms from TSC

Well I don't buy my solider fly worms or mealworms from TSC I always use Amazon for them and I can get a pound of solider fly worms for 7 dollars and they always come fresh and my chickens love it more than mealworms actually ( and they always smell better somewhat like peanut butter)

I just buy from TSC cause it’s convenient. They have a 5lb bag (sometimes a 6lb bonus bag) and that’s the best deal there. It’s a lot more upfront than the small bags but it’s a better bang for your buck to go the 5lb. It’s actually on sale, $5 off right now
