Best Organic Chicken Friendly Grass Fertilizers?

Chicken poo. Compost. Light amounts of composted manure. Diverse plantings of more than monoculture grasses, as in adding clover.
Let it grow taller, and use a mulching mower, or just leave the clippings on the lawn.
Soil testing? What does it actually need? More nitrogen for faster growth isn't really all that good anyway.

We do fertilize every year. We have a spreader that goes on the back of the tractor. It's a few months later that I start harvesting the grass for the birds. I have a mulching blade on my mower with a bagger to collect the clippings in. I put the clipping in all of the pens and the birds love to scratch in them. We have never had any issues.

Whatcha got?
WatchYOU got? :D
Pics of area and description of flock would help here.
Luscious lawns and chickens often do not go together.

Would like to fill in the bold spots. These weren’t caused by the girls. We don’t get much rain and it just fried with the heat this summer.

Probably doesn't need fertilizer, needs water.
Wonders if something ran off the driveway(chemicals and/or cars) and stressed the grass.
What's your climate?

I have used milorganite which seems to be about as safe as anything. It seems to do the job and is pet safe immediately after application. Also I don’t irrigate my lawn and milorganite does not need to be watered in which was another big plus.

we just went through a few days of near constant rain. I started to mow but got rained out. Finally got to mow yesterday. It was hard to tell where I had mowed a couple of day earlier. I mowed the areas again. I wish I could ship you some rain.
Would love to take some of your rain off your lawn 😂
