Best organic feed???

i buy Countryside Naturals and my chicks LOVE it. i just switched them from starter to broiler (which is the exact same formula, only less ground up) and i'm just as happy with this feed as i was with the first batch. everything i give mine is organic: they get organic yogurt with organic cheerios in it, organic oatmeal treats, even meal worms that are fed organic produce. this isn't as hard since almost everything i buy for myself is organic anyway (i eat the same cheerios for breakfast most mornings).

it's not cheap to go organic, but that's mostly because the demand still isn't there to drive the prices down (and organic farms don't get the same kind of government subsidies as factory farms). but they will come down if enough of us are willing to make the little sacrifice up front. it's all worth it for me. but i know i can get $5 a dozen for organic pasture raised eggs... so it makes sense. it might not for everyone, but i still think it's the best option.

Hamptons- there is a Countryside reseller in Atlanta. their contact info is: Andy Byrd, 770-601-0110, email: [email protected]. buying with the resellers will save you a TON on shipping. i currently pay $25/ 50lbs for my feed, but i only pay $3 shipping with my local reseller, whereas if i ordered it for myself it would cost about $30 to ship. good luck!
