Thanks BlueMoon and lwarctic for your replies,
The Cutler Supply website looks great. Looks interesting, with lots of supplies and such at good prices. I went back to the gqf site to check shipping costs, and saw that the $31.00 was for the Genesis 1588 Top, not the bottom.
Cutler Does carry a great range of incubator parts.
I had ordered some eggs on
ebay, was told to leave them as is. I will never do that again. The chicks grew in the shell just fine, but started dying during and after the hatch, when they should have been gaining strength and drying off. I figured it was the germs on the shells. Even though I cleaned the bottom, I really want to start fresh.. It was a bad experience.
I hatched out chicks last summer and had no problems.
RoosterQueen, maybe you can answer another question...the Buff Orpingtons that lived are about 3 weeks old now. Some of them have tails that twice as long as the other chicks. Do you think they are just growing faster than the others....or might I be a Rooster Princess?
