Best place to get an egg basket?

I told my mama, who loves antique auctions, to watch for one for me. Well, she brought me 3 of the little rubber coated wire ones and 2 large ones as well as a chicken shaped one! The next day I found 2 medium sized ones at a yard sale...so I got them. The larger ones are great for organizing the tack room and the three useful sized ones I rotate between house and barn.

I bet if you put an ad on CL someone will have one hanging around their barn.

I just use an old easter basket with alittle straw in bottom. I did not like the wire one . The eggs rolled around and some got broken.

I like the rubber coated ones. The eggs stay put better. JMO

mine aren't the wired kind. i got my woven ones last year at Wal-mart for $2 each right after Easter! (so, technically they are Easter egg baskets!)

we put a little bit of straw at the bottom to keep them from rolling around cause these are the wire ones that have the antique look

I really appreciate all of the ideas.

I think since I have plenty of time (just got eggs in the incubator now) I am going to get several different types to try out. Might as well, plus I really like the look of the egg baskets. Including the easter ones.

I love my antique egg basket that I got as a gift. Since it's bent wire, I can change the shape.

I've seen ones like it on ebay, but does anyone know where to find this same kind new?
