I saw some bantam ones near me that were needing homes, but parents and also I'm worried that integration would go poorly with the crests and my standard sized birds.

True.
My Polish integration went very poorly and thats why I have a separate coop and their own secured run.
But, perhaps it was/is because my RIR are Mean!
The "mean girls" still try to get at them through the fencing. Ugh!
