Best Silkie Companian Breed?

I love my Silkies, but for a while my family and I have wanted a companion breed for our Silkies. However, we don't know which ones will match up with them. Our only specifications are that the chicken is nice and not a meat bird. Any suggestions would be great. Thank you!

Bantam cochins are generally a mild mannered breed much like silkies.

I would recommend cochins to and wyandottes.

Wyandottes are a good option. Buff Orpingtons are also docile and likely won't bother Silkies. Something like that should work.

Thanks for all these suggestions! I actually have a neighbor with Buff Orpingtons. They're adorable. However, they admitted to not handling them enough and they are a bit flighty. I'm almost positive, though, with proper handling the birds will be friendly. And I'll take a look at Wyandottes. I think my other neighbor has one (I'm surrounded by other chicken lovers). Thanks for all the suggestions! It means a lot.

I think that you would be better off getting bantam fowl rather than large birds to add to your flock.
