Information: I got Goldie from SeriouslySilkies from IL when she was right around 4 months old. She was shipped to me to Marathon, Florida in the center of the Florida Keys. She is strictly a indoor pet, she has a sand box on our balcony for her baths. I am retired at 51, and follow her around daily picking up poops, LOL, but she has a very clean environment and is very loving. She never goes outside except to her pool that is a children's wading pool full of sand. She talks a lot and knows many words and recently has started to try and mimic some of them. My wife created a bad habit by giving her drinks of bottled water from the cap, so now I always have to keep a bottle near. I know this sounds strange, but her brother is a pugle ( Pug/Beagle) and they are pals but the dog is house broken and she is not! LOL She sleeps beside the bed of course on my wife's side, and lays almost everyday in one of her two laying boxes. She is very much loved but I do no know anyone around here that has a house chicken. She is something special. Thanks (Bobby) heirmuench...

This is Blanche, my 14 week old Blue Splash Silkie hen. I ordered her from MyPetChicken along with her sister (Dorothy). She is so calm and fun to have in my small flock of 5 hens. She and Dorothy were my first two chickens ever! They have 3 other flock mates that arrived 2 weeks after them.
