Best Situation to PREVENT Aggression?

Thank you, that is great info. How do your peafowl react to strangers in the yard? I have young kids... and they have young friends! obviously they could never be in a position to mistreat the pea, but they would be strangers.

2 of my adult peafowl are penned. When a stranger gets close they will run inside. Then I push them out for kids to see them but don't keep right on them I just stand at the door to keep them from coming in. I try to then let them back in before the flying begins. Sometimes if there are more than 1 or 2 people they begin to fly and hit the chicken wire right away. I then have to whistle, snap, or imitate a peacock call and it calms them down for a few seconds. I try to get them used to strangers but if they freak out too fast then I stop and let them back in. They still get close to me. They come to the edge of the pen when I yell for their names. I shake a coffee can full of feed and they come running inside to get their food. I put their feed in the pan once they take a few bites out of the coffee can. I have one free range peacock, Genie, but he keeps his distance for the most part from other people. He doesn't mind me but he doesn't let me get to his train. If I get close to his train he will rather run or he will fly up. If they are free range and if they can still fly I would assume they would rather fly away than attack. My peafowl that are trained to sit on my arm and other things they have been exposed to large crowds. Thora I took to the County Fair, and a Bird Breeder show. Ice I took to school to show kids peafowl can be trained and that they are not always aggressive. Thora and Ice I allowed people to pet them.
