Hi, I'm looking for recommendations on a good starter incubator. Ideally I'd like to have one that's pretty much automated so I don't have to mess with humidity or turning myself. I also have young children so I really want one with a window or a good view of the eggs as they hatch for that reason. I think I want at least 12 egg capacity minimum, but not too giant either. I've looked on amazon and read tons of reviews but then I get overwhelmed with all the choices. If anyone has recommendations I'd love to hear them!

It's been 20 years since I hatched eggs, but I remember learning a few things:

--Styrofoam is almost impossible to clean after a hatch. After several hatches it smells really awful.
--Hard plastic does not hold a consistent temperature as well, because styrofoam is the better insulator.
(Yes, you're pretty much stuck choosing one of those, unless you get one for incubating and a second for hatching).
--a fan to circulate the air really helps, to prevent hot spots and cool spots. This is especially important if you keep the incubator on the counter next to the refrigerator (don't ask how I know...)
--automatic turner is a great labor-saver.

I’ve been happy with my Nuture Right 360 by Harris Farms. It came from TSC but you can also get it on amazon.

Edited to say: but I also haven’t hatched that much!
I think that's the one I'm thinking of. Couldn't find it on their site so asked my daughter to check (she works at TSC)
