Hello all,

I am about to try my first ever hatching experience with my boys and was wondering for a still air incubator (homemade out of a styrofoam rose cone), what the best temperature and humidity levels are because I am seeing various ranges and am a little confused.

Thanks

I'm kinda new at this but I think your goals for a still air:

100 Deg
50% Humidity

till the 18th day when you raise your Humidity to 65-70 %

Have yo thought about adding a computer fan?

humid can be from the 30"s to 50"s range..and with STILL AIR model incubator's...you want 102...not 100. Hope this helps

IF YOU CAN..............

I would suggest that you install a "computer fan" in your "homemade incubator". It's easy to do and CHEAP (maybe FREE).
It takes very little labor and will make your incubator a LOT more EFFECTIVE.

(I believe it is DEFINITELY worth the little bit of extra effort.)

There are a LOT of "threads" here on BYC explaining "how-to". Just search for "computer fan". I'm sure something useful will come up on your search.
