best time to collect eggs for incubating in upstate NY

I love Cooperstown, especially the Baseball Hall of Fame!!! You are about an hour away from me. I am guessing you wouldn't have much of a need to camp 10 minutes away from home but if you ever want to, my dad in law owns the Cooperstown KOA. He's a great guy and it's a really nice place :o)

Its not that bad to turn your own eggs. Thats what I have been doing and now that its day 9 (I think) for my eggs it has just become part of my daily routine. Im using a LG still air. I know that alot of people dont really care for them but and they require alot of babying but I have had pretty good luck with mine. It helps though that I am around alot to check on it.

Actually, because my friend's husband is a farm milker- he can't go that far away from work- so when we camp as a group, we DO stay close to home. Can't remember if we've ever been to the KOA, but I've heard great things about it.

I teach at RS school, so it's not like I work long hours, so I definitely could fit turning eggs into my schedule. Does anyone have a resource on hatching eggs? Like a hatching eggs for dummies or something? I know there is a lot of contrary advice out there; wet incubating vs. dry incubating, etc....

I love my Brinsea Octo 20 advance. Now I just need to hatch and sell enough eggs to pay for it. I've got the hatching bug. Halfway though 1 batch and I'm planning what's next. You don't need to know to much about it with all the support you have here.
