Best Tomatoes: Objective Reviews

I rated some maters on your poll page. Will add more at the end of the season, I am growing 8 varieties this year. I also linked it on my FB page.

Tomatoes can be difficult in Florida, especially since I dont spray for anything. Best that Ive grown here is the Bella Rosa. Great flavor, and easy to care for, little or no disease.

First of all , last year I imported the blight by buying plants. I usually start my own from seed.

I plant a variety each year so I assured something.

I didn't like mortgage lifter nor brandywine. Brandywine has a waste as the tops are green and the whole tomato does not get red.

I planted , Burpees , Italian Ice, Tangerine mamma, Orange mamma, Razzle Dazzle, A yellow type from Lowes, Brandywine, and a cherry type. I tried White sausage but it takes to long to mature and I didn't get any tomatos.

All were good tasting, some sweet, some tart. Most used together in a sauce mix. Italian ice is a good salad tomato.

Mr stripey, Cherokee purple, Brandywine-all heirloom varieties. Mr stripey is the best tomatoe I have ever eaten. Sadly enough, I was unable to locate any this year. edited to add: Brandywine must be allowed to remain on the plant until almost over ripe for full flavor.
