   Hi
   I am a soon-to-be new owner and want to know what type of chicken will be best for me. As of now, I am getting Production Reds. I want freindly, not broody, can survive through tough weather, and loving chickens. Are production reds right for me or is there a better choice?

   I have a production red and she is very hardy and friendly!....I would say 5/5 stars. I would say get 1-2 Production Reds and 1-2 Barred Rocks. They lay extremely well and are snuggly! At least, mine are.. Good Luck!!
