one other thing...Do we really have to bury the fencing for the run 6 inches? The critters around here are racoons, hawks, and eagles. We had a mountain lion a couple of years ago but not one since. We have never seen coyote, wolf, or fox since we moved in (11 years now).

Ooooooh, yes!!! In fact, I'd bury the wire more than 6". Raccoons and other predators are notorious for digging under the sides of the run. Nasty animals.

And if you're now keeping chickens, the coyotes may show up again.
