Just put my 2 month old flock into coop. They are sleeping in the nesting boxes. What's the best way to block them from doing that? What do you use? There are two perches low and high. Plenty of room on the floor of coop. Any good ideas?

i put a cardboard box in each nest box, with a brick inside so they couldnt move it. i only took them out when they were about to lay. maybe you can try this idea

Are the roosts (perches) higher than the nesting boxes? They like to roost as high as possible.

As far as blocking off the nests, a piece of heavy cardboard or wood in front of the nest openings should do the trick...kind of depends on how you nest boxes are configured what would work best.
