Best way to clean brooder before adding new chicks?

Hi! We are getting ready to order some more chicks and I'd like to know what everyone uses or thinks is the best for cleaning the brooder out? We had chicks last year in there and I'd just like to know its nice and clean before the new batch goes in this year!! And part of the brooder is wood.
