Humm, if no one posts along with their vote the poll gets lost. '
Anyway, it looks like pens and free range are the way to go.

Coop was not an option...but I keep mine in an 8x8 coop at night, in a 25x30ish pen during the day, and free range in the evening. All 15 "girls" ages 16 weeks (3), 11 weeks (7), and 7 weeks (5) seem to enjoy themselves:D

Well we coop ours up at night but let them free range durring the day. But that's only because we haven't finished the pen. DH is a wonderful craftsman... also wonderful at procrastination!

But can't really complain, free labor j/k. We have the pen about 3/4 done just have to finish the side with the people door on it. Then once the run is done they'll be there durring the day when I'm working instead of me being a nervous reck while I'm working wondering if they're ok. Our 3 other neighbors let theirs free range all day with no peoblems I just worry alot... really ALOT.

I pen at night and free range during day__though have had to pen at times when we were not home due to fox issue which will hopefully soon be resolved.

I love the flexibility of tractors. I just couldn't leave birds inside a run that had no green grass, they love it so much! Most of mine free range right now, wish i could always do that, but there are some birds that are hard to replace.
