I'm up in a cold climate (-20) average in winter. I usually use deep litter method for my chickens and I'm wondering what others do for their turkeys. I was thinking straw but it can turn into a frozen lumpy mess. What are others using?

Straw shouldn't freeze unless it is wet. If you have dampness in your coop that can be a real problem. Ventalation is a must in the winter and messy waterers need to be away from bedding.

We use the deep litter method with hay in the Winter and Love it!

I second the Deep Litter method. So long as it's not wet in the coop it'll be fine.
