Good idea! Maybe they have more whites too!!Bought her on a auction...
But maybe I must try to get a hold of the breeder to get more information on her.
Am I correct that most every common breed is recessive white other than Leghorns, Wyandottes, and Plymouth Rocks and the breeds that are varieties that have to be dominant white for the other pigment to show like red pyle and buff laced? Are there other breeds that are just white and genetically dominant? Just trying to better understand dominant vs recessive! They're recessive white so it will take two copies to be expressed.
Good news is unlike dominate white recessive will cover everything.
Breed any of your males to her. Breeding a son back to her will get you 50% whites. Or breeding her offspring together will get you 25% whites.
I can't keep track of what breeds are dominate white beyond leghorns. I did hear not long ago that ameracauna can have either or even both.Am I correct that most every common breed is recessive white other than Leghorns, Wyandottes, and Plymouth Rocks and the breeds that are varieties that have to be dominant white for the other pigment to show like red pyle and buff laced?
