I learned at BYC that removing the lid on the Brinsea can be tricky. Even read where some people accidently broke eggs because the lid slipped out of their hand.
With my first batch of eggs due mid March, and my first ever incubator (Brinsea ECO), and having compromised hand strenght/control, I came up with a solution.
I applied self-adhesive, industrial Velcro strips to each side using only the loop side of the Velcro since the smooth side didn't seem like it would give me enough friction to hold. It works perfectly and is very inexpensive.
Even if one chick is saved....my mission is now complete
