First off I know that the chicks are going to be a mixed breed. The broody came from someone who left them after they moved. I know that they had these roosters:

Black Frizzle
Buff Cochin
Silver Spangled Hamburg
Black Cochin

The hens that may have contributed to the clutch:

Buff Cochin
White Silkie or Frizzle
Black Frizzle
Black Cochin

What is the hen. Her comb is small and dark. She has some feathers coming down her dark grey if not black legs. She is a super protective mother. She is small just smaller than my Hamburgs. I made the HUGE mistake of picking up one of the chicks. The mother attacked me flying almost to my face. I have seen her attack every chicken in my flock despite her being the new one. She has attacked my ewe A LOT (and the ewe deserves it).

Any idea on breed?

What about the babies, there is a baby with a white head. I was thinking possibley that could be a hamburg cross? All of the babies seem to have feathered feet. The babies were the size of golf balls when we got them.

The hen looks like a silkie cross based upon the dark skin. It's really hard to say what the babes will be as all the breeds you listed with the exception of hamburg have foot feathering. I do think you can cross the buffas off as parents, probably.

In the sun she shines green. But she appears to be black. Her babies look a lot like my Australop baby I had. She is small, maybe a cross with a black cochin (as her feet are slightly feathered?)
