I have two polish roosters. They are both 5 months old. Ones crest is more confined and that bird is smaller then the other. The other one has a more scattered crest and is a lot heavier. I will get some upright standing pictures later today. I purchased them from magnolia Silkies and polish who is a wonderful lady with gorgeous birds.
Today was run cleaning and coop cleaning day excuse the messy run. The rooster y’all said looks worse is in the top two pictures the better looking one is the bottom three.
Neither of the two are perfect but they’re both cockerels so that’s expected, give them a couple months and their crests and bodies will be filled in even more. Don’t just pay attention to the crest, pay attention to their body type, wing carriage, and the quality/sheen of their black feathers. The Polish is a beautiful breed and I greatly admire them for their natural curiosity, beauty, and gentleness. I recently lost my Polish rooster to an aggressive infection that my vet and I had great difficulty treating and losing him really did make me appreciate this breed even more; they’re gold.
