Better stock up on Feed

At Tractor Supply yesterday they told us the cost of bird feed is going to double.... thanks to the gas increases. Best stock up!

I hope not, too. I'd have to sell off most of my flock except the old ladies. I noticed prices are jumping not only at the pump, but at the grocery store, too. It's just the beginning, I'm afraid.

I already cannot believe the cost of everything. I don't know how I see people saying they get 25lb of sunflower seeds for under $10...or a 50lb of scratch is $8, etc...here it is just about $1 per lb..for the sunflower and about $20 for 50lb for starter or feed....everything is double here than what I see people saying they pay for it on here..this is getting really out of hand. The govt doesn't want people farming anyway. This has been on the agenda for decades. Agenda 21, look it up. They have already banned raw milk sources and the feds are sucking up land like crazy..now the gas prices are completely falsely inflated to match Europe to get us out of our cars..enough is very enough.

Oh no... well I do want to save up to get a ton of food maybe I'll do it sooner then later. I can save like $5 every 80 pounds if I buy it by the ton.

Dog food just went up $3/bag. That coupled with the price of gasoline to get to the field trials may cause me to find homes for some of my dogs. Nah, I'm not going to do that.

The problem with stocking up on feed, there is a shelf life unless you have large freezers to put all the feed bags in there. Either we cough up the extra money or cut back to down what we really need to feed our own intermediate families.

I am guessing feed will increase about a fourth up to a 1/3 price. Double sounds like extreme.

All I know is that the folks @ Tractor Supply said they had word from corporate that the price was going to double. We noticed the BOSS was double what we paid this winter.

I wonder what the shelf life is.... if it gets mealy moths in it, isn't that something the ladies would like anyway? Rancid is a different matter.

I plan on buying more this week. Planning ahead.

Gotta go look up Agenda 21 now.....
