Between Life and Death RP

Seldanna smiled softly at Lilith's hope.
"So, you used to be human. That means that you would eat plants and animals, at a controlled rate, correct?" She asked in a reasonable tone. "At least, I hope you did."
Lilith broke down. Instead of answering, she whispered "The Reaper who infected me took advantage of me and made me kill a human." She said "I can't forgive myself." She snapped out, and said "I'm sorry. Yes, I did."

Seldanna's knitted her brows in disgust at what Lilith had said.
"I do not understand anyone who was born a human, and yet loves to attack the species his or her parents were, the ones who created them. Especially those who encourage and force it." She stated. "But, the thing is, you can forgive yourself. Because you stop yourself, and you take control of your situation. You don't forgive and forget, you forgive yourself and remember what you did so you do not repeat that history." She told Lilith seriously.
"Anyway, that means you're fine with killing animals? Or, you could at least get used to doing it everyday? It is a literal job occupation for some people, so it is tolerable for some."

Lilith nodded. But she said, her hope a little dismayed "I already only eat plants and animals, no humans." Her hopes had been crushed a little bit.

"Well, that's good. Do you believe that it'd be possible to keep that up?" Seldanna asked, thinking. She wanted to give a softer answer than she was thinking, but she still wanted to try and see if there was any other idea or possibility out there.

Lilith nodded, now a bit of disappointment in her voice. She had hoped for more, but she was grateful for support. She said softly "My name's Lilith."

Seldanna looked at Lilith with a plain look of "sorry", since it seemed Lilith had gotten the memo. If she just didn't let her instinct control her, which she believed to be possible, then...Well, that was about as much as someone in that situation could do.

"My name is Seldanna. I wish there was a better answer, but I'm afraid the only thing you can do is control it. But it's just instinct. You can train instinct out of you." She told Lilith. "Just...Don't develop a want for power. Because the more power you have, the more likely it will be that you will fall. And the more power you want, the more you lose yourself and the worse your instinct gets."

Name: Jastra
Gender: Female
Age: 29
Species: Reaper
History: Jastra had lived a successful life, and a rather normal one. She took a break from college to visit her family for a few days, because her mom had another child, and she was desperate to see her new brother and take a break from school.
Unfortunately, in the middle of the night during her visit with her parents, there was a loud crash that came from the kitchen and a robbery and murder took place that night. Her mother and father, who went to check on the noise without worry, were spotted by the hurrying and anxious robber and shot on sight. Jastra, peeking into the kitchen at the sound of gunshots and seeing a man and her dead parents, scrambled to scoop up her infant brother and ran out of the home without question, horribly shaken by the sight of her parents laying in a pool of blood.
Jastra went to the authorities, and the man was arrested, but she did not know what to do with her brother. They had no other family members they knew of, and she did not agree to putting him up for adoption. So, Jastra decided to keep him and raise him herself, which complicated things and made Jastra decide to not return to college so she could take care of her brother fully. She inherited the damaged home of her parents, and settled there for a few years.
She walked along the street one day, holding the hand of her brother who was now considered a toddler as she walked him back from school.
A reaper had been following her and eventually caught up to them without her noticing until she turned around due to just sensing that someone was right there and wanting to assure herself whether it was true or not.
When she saw him, he immediately took action and killed her on the spot, her brother running off to the side since he was scared by the reaper and the chaos.
In seconds Jastra was transformed into a reaper, and as she looked at her surroundings, she had a sickening realization; she couldn't even touch her brother, let alone take care of him. The reaper saw her look of desperation towards the young toddler and began to attempt to attack him, but Jastra pushed the reaper down before that was possible and then simply ushered her brother to quickly follow her back home before it could follow.
She wrote a note of why she was abandoning her brother, and called a nearby family she knew without telling them the situation over the phone so they would come. Jastra left before they came and hung out in the trees to make sure they left with her brother, and sure enough, they had found the note and taken it, leading the toddler out of the home, which wasn't a struggle since he knew them.
Jastra had encountered the reaper that had infected her multiple times, but she has always fled in pure anger and guilt because she had to abandon a child she had raised. Over the years, she has definitely killed people, specifically picking off the ones that have neglected or abused their loved ones in aching jealousy, because they hated the things she longed to have.
Jastra has been known as quite the figure of 'legend', as she silently picks off people who have done slights of wrong and mangles their bodies, leaving them barely recognizable and always leaving a note nearby of why they were killed.
She has a morbid sense of justice. But, as she knows her parents rot in graves and her brother who she raised like a son is being raised by a different family due to her giving him away with barely any will, and her entire life she was working hard to succeed in was ripped away from her, she hated people who abused the luxuries she never got to keep.
Personality: Jastra is a problem solver but under certain stressful situations she can crumble. She struggles with being moody and too paranoid, but still tries her best to just be smart and kind. In her current state, though, she is almost in a constant state of jealousy, and at times, she really does enjoy that moment when she kills someone. She is definitely one to be ashamed of her own self.

Lilith nodded, and sighed "I don't want power. I don't to hurt anyone. But now my life is essentially over. No one likes me, almost all humans want to get rid of me, and I can't even touch anyone."

Claire kissed him back softly. Her eyes dazzled in a pink and purple.

Pryrus looked into her eyes, dazzling with wonder. "I'm going out for a stroll darling. I will see you in a little bit." He smiled. Then he walked out the door.~

Adara nodded, "I am grateful I have the chance to raise my son in this culture. I just...I just need to figure out how I'm going to raise him." She said solemnly. "I must get job. I will not be a freeloader through your generosity."

"Well you can live here for now. I will help you find a job, if you would like." Caleb said with a smile. He would love to help her, but he didn't want her to feel helpless either...~

Claire nodded happily, and fell asleep again, grieved with pain.
