OK now I understand....I think.
You are talking about the vertical sections between rafters just above and at the edge of the coop itself. The area you have set aside in the design for coop ventilation.
Measure each opening individually. You will find they are likely to vary a bit.
Exactly!! Good idea to measure each section, I know my cutting etc. is not perfect. After sleeping on this dilemma:
Do you think this would work? Cut 1x2's to fit in between the rafters, attach the top part of the mesh to the 1x2, attach the mesh to the sides of the rafters and the top of the coop leaving the 1x2 loose until after the roof is installed then screw the 1x2 with the mesh attached to the ceiling.
I really want to try to get at least the coop secure today so I can move the girls out there and then finish the run. They are outgrowing their box in the basement. I need it secure first. Hopefully the rain will quit soon
