Beware of the Compost Bin .. Evil Lurks!

Teila I've never heard of that kind of beetle. Is it one of the very few bugs in Australia that aren't poisonous.

Poor chickens, I bet they do have nightmares, I know I would.

They are harmless but they do give you the heebie jeebies when they rear up and hiss at you!

So it's one of the few animals in Australia that can't kill you, but it's more than willing to fight ya. nice.

They're back!

I threw what little was left of the girls watermelon in the compost bin last night.. Little did I know this morning, when I took the lid off to throw in the overnight chook poop, that I was crashing a party which, by the hissing and waving of legs, I was not invited to! LOL

They do look to be having a wonderful time

Tee hee .. trust me, I opened the lid, threw in the poop, closed the lid. Opened the lid again, took the picture, closed the lid

They are harmless but the hissing and rearing gives me the heebie-jeebies .. quite happy to step away from the Watermelon and let them party!
