I'm sure this has been posted many times, but:

Matthew 22:37-40
37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment.39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[b] 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

This is how I chose to live my life, and I pray it is enough.

God does require us to love one another and keep His commandments, but this is not what saves us.

Acts 16:31 KJV
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house;

And:

Romans 10:9-10 KJV
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. [10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Love for one another, and obedience, are the result, or fruit of salvation, and not what saves us. God has to take from us our stony hearts and give us new hearts of flesh, with His law written in them, to make us new creatures. See: Ezek. 11:19 and 36:26; 2 Cor. 5:17; Jer. 31:33.

Jesus Christ is the only way to have eternal life. We are all sinners in need of a Savior.

John 14:6 KJV
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

1 Timothy 2:5 KJV -
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Ephesians 4:31-32 KJV - Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Peter wrote, “All of you be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing” (1 Pet 3:8-9).

What a coincidence…or God Wink! I have been dealing with anger issues due to bullying from a colleague using very passive aggressive tactics.

I am standing up for myself…I am not afraid of losing my job in doing so. (I have other options already lined up). But the anger…it has been consuming me and affecting my home relationships. I read this article just before I read your post.

Have a blessed day!
