Samson, Judges 13: 2-24, he was named a nazarite by God from before birth.I have a question but do not have the answer. Our morning Bible reading referred to the Nazarite Vow and commentary stated that there were three. who were the three? Please give verses, I know one for sure and maybe another but the third escapes me.
ok, now two more.......Samson, Judges 13: 2-24, he was named a nazarite by God from before birth.
I did some research on this today and reread the plague account and was struck by two things I managed to not notice before. First that the names Jannnes and Jambrees wasn't mentioned at all in Moses' account in Ex at all. In my head I had linked "Jannes, Jambrees, and magic practicing priests" as a set and thought they were mentioned each time the "magic practicing priests" were talked about in that account.According to Hebrew texts Jannes and Jambres (somtimes calles Mambres) were the two individuals who opposed Moses, Paul referred to them in one of his letters.
I watched "Fiddler On The Roof" again last year and saw the film in a whole new light, the Scripures and our trips to Israel had changed me more than I realized. It is cool huh? I've been doing a lot of study into the Hebrew culture and Torah. Somethings make a lot more sense when its explained in Hebrew context.![]()
