I had posted a couple of weeks ago asking if my chicks were bielefelder or welsummers. Everyone had said beilfelders and after looking I agreed. I was also told one male and one female. To which, after looking online, I also agreed. And now I am very confused. Because my darker chick is now looking much more cockerel then my lighter one was now that they are 4 weeks old or so. I'll attach photos as day olds, week olds and now, of the one in question. It's coloring remains pretty pullet like, but he or she has wattles forming already and a reddened comb.

The "cockerel" has a comb but it's still skin colored and not as big. And still has rather male feather coloring. I'm so confused 😂
Photos are only of the "pullet" who I believe to be a cockerel but I can post some of the original "cockerel" as well in the comments.

100% cockerel.

Here is the one that was to be the cockerel. Lol. Still looking male in some ways?

I’m not sure i understand correctly, if i am, the photos in the first post are all the same chicken but in different stages? The last photo is definitely a rooster and is what im referring to.

I had bought nine "barnyard mixes" from a lady who later texted me to let me know she accidentally sent me two either welsummer or beilfelders as well in my lot of chicks. The two chicks were the ones posted above. The first chick was darker and said to be the female (the one posted on the post itself-in three stages as it's been growing. A day old, a week old and four weeks old). The second chick is lighter and I was told was male and I posted him in the comments. They have very different patterns to them. So if they are both male, I have no idea how they are the same breed 😅.
