Late maturing Welsummer cockerel?

Just chased one of my Barnevelders for a good 5 minutes straight. She figured out that she could run around some low hanging branches of a tree and we went round and round the tree several times before leading me on a multiple lap chase around coop and runs.
My newly arrived Barnevelder was pretty timid at first as well. She would stick to her Barred Rock Sister. But now, the Barnevelder is most friendly bird I have. Anybody who even comes near her gets the egg squat. After scooping her up, she loves being carried and walked around as long as some sort of feeding is involved. her more adventures Barred Rock Sister can't decide whether to do the egg squat or run away. Chickens can be so different even hand raised.

I think they enjoy running from me. When I catch them they barely make any fuss now (they were worse), and stopped making angry noises.
