Today's picture of my sweet biels enjoying a brief semi-sunny spot.

I recently hatched some of my friend's Biele eggs.
Pics below are the 1st 6.
Grand total from 10 eggs was 5 females and 3 males.

The males were very obvious, but a few females had faint head spots.

Some of my female me have a very faint head spot. They are very cute! I can’t wait for them to get all of their feathers in! Here’s some of my girls and my surprise cockerel earlier today. They are a week apart (the cockerel is younger)

That's good to know. I was pretty sure of the genders, but a bit nervous about those few "hairs" of white. The male chicks were obvious.

Does anyone know why my Bielefelder pullet looks like this? It’s for sure a pullet, I have a cockerel and she doesn’t look like him.

My best guess would be the parents had more white in their barring than other Bielefelders. The amount of white can vary. I have some like that. I’ll try to get a picture.

I have 2 darker ones, her and one with a little less white than her. Oh, and my 1 1/2 week old cockerel
