Big Babies

I purchased these about 3 weeks ago at Tractor Supply. Thought they were Leghorn roosters. They are huge and just lay around and eat. Anyone know what this breed is?

Probably meat chickens, Cornish cross.

They are Cornish Crosses or "meat birds." They are extremely hard to keep as pets without strict dieting because they're designed to be slaughtered at a young age and often can't make it very far into life without dying of heart attacks.

There have been threads of people successfully keeping them as pets with dieting! I have absolutely no experience in that area, but apparently their temperaments are quite nice
