Just thought I'd post a picture of one of my ladies. This Bertha as a pullet (now the sweetest biggest and sweetest hen that ever chased a grasshopper!)

Hey Joe-

The way I figure, if she's going to eat all that cracked corn this Winter she might as well work for it! LOL!

I raised her from chick (as I did her sibs) so they are ALL very tame. I never knew they could be so tame!

I sit out there with them daily, reading a book or doing crossword puzzles and when the neighbors pass by and wave - must think I'm a nut-case!

Sitting out in the middle of a cold day with chickens all up on me...trying to do the crosswords while avoiding the constant pecking and errant chicken nugget - here and there. Sorry...TMI! Bleah!
