Big boob on chickens

When ever chickens get ready to hit the hay they get a big boob (thats what I call it) on there chest . Does any body know what it is?

It's their crop. WHen it's full, it bulges like that until the feed is processed and digested.

Hahaha, I don't think I will ever be able to look at a full crop the same way again!

Yes it indeed is a crop, the 'pre-stomach' if you will.
