this is my sweet Maran I used water and eyewash and tweezers and got a large like marble size ball of like hard milk out of her eye I put teramycin ointment on it. She's eating drinking acting like normal her eye this morning is still shut but not swollen I'm washing it and using the ointment. I very concerned what may have caused it? I have another maran his eye was half way shut nothing in it did the same for him. I removed them from the others

You might want to post this in our emergency section for more answers. I have seen this before in chickens, although not in my flock but others here on BYC. Someone may know what this is and what caused it...https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/10/emergencies-diseases-injuries-and-cures

I hope you can get her healed up and back to good health soon.

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! X2 on post in the Emergencies forum TwoCrows linked for you about your hen and roo, hope they recover.

Gee I have never heard of anything like that, the fact that another bird had something similar makes me think this is contagious. Your poor hen looks swollen around her eye.
Is it possible you could see a vet about this? People on the E/R thread are good but, seeing her in person and being able to physically examine her and conduct tests if needed gives a vet the best chance of diagnosing the problem.

Please be very careful using anything around the eye, like the tweezer. If she moved or got startled, her eye could have been damaged.
