Some of these guys are getting a bit older but I guess they still fall under chicks. Today we finished the 3x6' pen on the back porch that is being used as a community brooder. It currently has 5 sebright pullets, 6 guinea keets, random mutts ranging in age from 2 months to 3 weeks, and now a bantam hen with a bad leg which isn't pictured. Everyone is all getting along fine. I also have some vids I haven't finished loading yet and I'd like to put the webcam on it but my desktop died just as I was broadcasting my hatch a few days ago.

Actually it was dog hair that killed the fan on my graphics card and cooked the insides of my computer. I have an akita. They only shed twice a year for a couple weeks when changing their coats but when they do most people who own them and related native japanese breeds don't call it shedding.... It's referred to as the dog version of hiroshima.

They lose their entire undercoat all at once. My house was rather hot today and I finally realized it's because all the vents in the house are covered in a layer of dog fur and we're only half way through the fall fur explosion.

Everytime I brush her I pack a 2gallon bucket full of dog hair and I still found a 2" layer over about 2sq ft of floor when I moved her crate today.
